Explore one of Northern Ireland's top arboretums.
Built on an already established 18th century parkland, the development of the arboretum began in the 1930s and continues to grow to this day with an ever-growing collection of rare and unique trees from around the world.
The true beauty of this collection lies within the personal stories of the owners and gardeners who have passed through the estate over the centuries, with each tree and plant reflecting the individual’s passion and enthusiasm for various specimens.

Garden Map
Brook Hall : – The current Brook Hall was built around 1790 in a Georgian villa style.
Avenue : – The avenue sweeps through the arboretum and is lined with some of the finest specimens in the garden.
Arboretum : – The arboretum is home to over 1200 trees and plants with outstanding collections of conifers, rhododendrons, and magnolias.
Lime Tree Avenue : – The original approach to the house, once lined with mature lime trees is now home to a stunning collection of cherry blossoms.
Walled Garden : – This 3.5 acre walled garden dates back to the early 17th century, with amble space for both production market gardens and ornamental gardens.
Riverside Garden : – The riverside garden reconnects the gardens with the river, providing beautiful views of the River Foyle.
Parkland : – Many of the original 18th century trees reside in the parkland, an area integral to the active farming on the estate.
